Access control lists can be managed directly from CVS Suite. You can browse to any point in the repository and set access control restrictions on a module, directory or branch for users or groups.

Bug numbers can be used to merge changes into branch or trunk workspaces. Change management is a superset of the old concept of version control. The repository server in CVS Suite Server is fundamentally different from simple version control servers - it understands change sets, and the CVS Suite package provides a variety of change management features. You can still work the old way with simple versions, but CM analysts have found that many of the benefits attributed to SCCM only come through the use of change sets.
